Telok Cempedak, Kuantan

Assalamualaikum.....

How are you? It's school holidays, so I assume most of you are having a breakaway with the kids.

I have just realized that all through out 3.5 years of hubby residing and working in Kuantan, I do not have any pictures of Telok Cempedak. So I drop by at this place on my own while hubby was working so that I can at least have a few pics of the pictures.

Pantai Telok Cempedak has been upgraded by the town council. It used to be a plain beach with trees and bushes with a few stalls for various food and delicacies. But now it is a modern recreation place. A few 24hours fast food outlet operating here and live up the nights in Kuantan.

On the left is the food courts and restaurants. The public toilet is clean and big, the food choices is a lot and a lot of benches under the tree for you to chill down. However, I tried the food a few times here, but I decided that I would prefer to eat first before I come, or bring my own food here.

Can you see the sea? This is at 10.00 am.

Another project is going on at the beach.

Among the food stalls.

There is another part of the beach. But to go there, you have to walk on a special wooden trail along the shore. There is a few pit stops along the walkway and you will be accompanied by a lot of monkeys. So if you plan to enjoy the natural beauty of the beach, please make sure that you zip up your foods and drinks in your beg if you don't want to share it with these clever monkeys.

This monkey drink direct from the can.

Thus, enjoy your holiday, friends.....

A trip through the length of Terengganu, my home. We have coconuts from our owntrees and within a walking distance from our house is a restaurant where one can get Tom Yasm kelapa. And our homee is surrounded by homes making ang selling keropok lekor.

It is a shame that Almanar was not in the list.

It my beach and I grew up there. In the forties and the fifties the there was no buildings on the beach and no road leading to it. We would hike and camp there almost every weekend. I call it my beach and always go there whenever I am in Kuantan. Read I blog here... http://idrus.blogspot.com/2009/03/tranquility-teluk-cempedak.html

Have a nice day.
