This movie is classified as 18 age and above viewers only. It was me n hubby's dating day out. We went to the cinema for Nicolas Cage in Stolen which I have reviewed HERE. But, we were attracted to watch this as well. Korean's? Could be nice. Why don't we try to experience it? So we bought back-to-back ticket. The whole afternoon was for movies. Exactly after Stolen ended, we ran to the next door for The Thieves.
Not as crowded as in the Stolen's room, but we like it. Can concentrate and can focus more.
The Thieves is about the professional group of thieves' activities. Korean thieves and Chinese thieves are combined to go after a precious diamond. At the end, it's not about the diamond. It's about to knock down a well known but mysterious gangster.
A lot of plots, a lot of stories, each thief has their own story and a lot of love sparks in the air. However, what I loved most is the role played by senior actor, Simon Yam paired with Kim Hae-sook as a Japanese couple. Chinese and Korean speaks love language fluently in Japanese. And hubby said, their Japanese is flawless. Exactly like real Japanese. But the love.. the sincerity is deep.
Overall, the actions, the story line, the actors and actressess are better than Stolen. We felt the tense and our mind worked as hard as the director wants.
It's really good, if you watch it with your heart.
